Hooked it up to the Flex 1500 with (band change) cable. Turned it on and used it for abt an hour. Noticed that the band change wasn't working, so I used it in manual mode. Then it stopped working with only one power bar lighting up. My Bird indicated 5 watts from the Flex nothing from the THP .This unit has less that 2hr total time on it. Is there something that I can do or does it need to go to the doctor? If so where does the doctor live? Thanks .wb0yol .. The HL-45B is specifically designed for the Yaesu FT-817...While other transceivers are OK for use.manual band switching only.. PROVIDED you have an ALC connection as shown on page 5 in the manual.. Unfortunately the FLEX has NO ALC.so you are basically running the amplifier with no spike protection.. Most likely you have blown the finals... Refer to the warranty card included in the box from HRO.. AVSL the repair center, is located in Virginia Beach, VA... Note:. Customers who use the Flex 1500 have a failure rate 3-4 times more than customers who use the HL-45B with the FT-817, which the amp was designed for.. 73, Tom Rum W5RUM Tokyo Hy-Power Technical Support www.tokyohypower.com thpsupp...@airmail.net 713-818-4544 _______________________________________________ FlexRadio Systems Mailing List FlexRadio@flex-radio.biz http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexradio_flex-radio.biz Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexradio%40flex-radio.biz/ Knowledge Base: http://kc.flexradio.com/ Homepage: http://www.flexradio.com/
