After all the help I've received from the group over the last year, thought it best to report in:
Now have Flex 1500 working with Flex knob. Writelog is doing rig control and Writelog CW memories are firing. Also have MMTTY working (I think. Haven't actually worked anybody but decoding just fine. Same with PSK-31. Find running CW at 5 watts on 40 and up just as effective as running 100 watts. SSB more of a challenge and 80 (on a Butternut vertical) and 160 (on a sloper) are a challenge at any power level. Running dual monitors so lots of room (and one monitor disguises itself as a H-Def TV if these no propagation) plus added an new I7 PC so CPU isn't an issue anymore. Also have a WM-2 QRP wattmeter being shipped so I can keep an eye on the power out. Thanks again to all. I've learned a lot and I'm a very happy camper and can see a Flex 3000 in my future.
