I normally use a 250 or 500Hz filter. Today I centered on a signal at 7.060.000 and selected a 250Hz filter. The signal I was copying was about 2S units above the back ground noise so no problem there. What I noticed was that I was able to here the signal well out side the filter band width. As much as 200 Hz. So it was acting like I had a 500Hz filter instead of the 250Hz. So I checked the filter settings and they were set correctly. So I'm trying to figure out if this has always that way and perhaps my memory if faulty or perhaps the F3k is no longer operating as it should. Any thoughts? Thanks and 73's Don, kd6hq A fine is a tax for doing wrong.
