Hope this doesn't get lost in all the "Game Changer" traffic but I have an
operational question.

A long time ago I acquired a Microwave Modules 432-28 transverter. It has
been sitting in the closet for years and I thought I would see if I could
interface it to my F5K. I got it working but I encountered a couple of
problems. One is NOT Flex's fault but I'm not sure about the other one. The
one I can't blame Flex for is the MM unit requires between 5 and 500 mw of
drive. My Flex can only supply about 3 mw. I think I can work around this
issue by using a MIC amp added to the MM unit.

The second problem is that the MM unit was about 1200 Hz off the desired
frequency. The specs for the unit claim frequency accuracy to within 5 KHz!
So it is actually in spec. When I tried to correct the error in the XVTR
screen I discovered that if I enter a negative number in the OFFSET field I
can no longer key the F5K (by clicking the TUNE button). Positive numbers
work OK but not negative ones.

I also use an Elecraft 2M transverter with my Flex. It required a slight
positive correction and that works as expected.

Anyone else have this problem?

And, by the way, I hope the "Game Changer" is a winner for Flex!
