Colleagues, Please keep in mind that your Flex radio will continue to work in a superb fashion under the most recent software release. If Flex chooses to charge a reasonable amount for future upgrades, you always have the choice of not purchasing those upgrades. I personally have been waiting for a long time for them to make such a move; I want them to continue to be a financially viable company so that they can continue to support my Flex-5000 and Flex-3000 and hopefully my Flex-6700 sometime in the not too distant future. Any profit that might result is their reward for taking considerable risk in building this company.

Either they find a way to cover their costs or they either don't do new software or they go out of business. Want them to not do new software or go TU so your radio becomes an orphan? I don't. I will happily pay for good software. BTW, do you ever buy a new copy of Windows or any other software?
