Geoff, The Flex 1500 has no filtering below about 480kHz.What you are seeing
are images from any strong signal on the antenna. And maybe failure of image
rejection.I am using my F1500 on 630m and 2200m on WSPR etc with a 500kHz low
pass filter for Rx and one for Tx.I have made a small band pass filter with
455kHz IF cans capacitively coupled. They tune to 475kHz easily.Alternatively a
preselector or tunable front end. The 160m inverted L is pretty sharp too on
the even lower bandsThe F1.5K will put out 1mw or so on the XVTX/COM on both
bands but again you do need some filtering before an amplifier.I did suggest
that the next update might hold the internal filter to 470kHz.Good luck. Andrew
