Tim and Beta Group- I started noticing this behavior a few days ago and never noticed it before I installed 2.6.

On the HF bands, in SSB, I will intermittently see a low-level (S3-5) carrier 1 KHz inside the received passband. It is there no matter where I tune the receiver. The amplitude varies up and down randomly. I know it is actually there because the ANF will reduce it dramatically. If I disconnect the antenna or use a dummy load the signal drops into the noise floor. If I am on an active antenna, with a normal noise floor around -110 dbm or so, the signal is there. At first I thought it might be a WBIR problem, so I did a re-calibration of image rejection but there was no change. Yesterday it popped up again....toggling SR on and off seemed to make it go away. Has anyone else seen this behavior?

George,

Ref Mar 2 question.....................>

I experienced [apparently] the same problem with my 3000. I note that
the wide band interference was not stable, it started above the 60 meter
band then as time marched on it would travel down in frequency, lower
than 60 meters. I also had other spurs on 80 meters moving around......>

I have screen shots I can send you. I placed a spectrum analyzer on the
antenna jack and found other spurs from the 3000. I sent the 3000 to
the Flex hospital and flex replace a chip. I don't have the RMA in
front of me, but if you ask I will dig it out.

Let me know how I can help. I can send you screen shots.........> Tim
was very helpful as were the Techs.
