It's all in the manual. Found how to enable the balanced input, and it turned out that the pre-amplifier was working, but all the LEDs on the amplifier was not. Now I am happy, and the problem I have had with RF feedback on bands higher than 20 meter are gone! Sorry for my Heil HM-5, that's money gone down the drain, but I can still use it on the lower bands.
