As per the 2.6.4 release notes this release no longer supports the SDR-1000.
I knew it was likely to happen someday. In case anyone is considering "BoatAnchorSDR" My SDR-1000 works FB on any release prior to 2.6.4 but in this release the button in the radio selector comes up grayed out. I'm not having any issues running 2.6.4 on my 5k while running 2.5.3 on my SDR-1K&Eiderol FA66 together simultaneously on the same PC. DPC aren't an issue average < 30us with an occasional spike above 200us when I do stupid things, like playing DVD videos with both radios running. The SDR-1000 can even run on Linux using SDRShell. So I'm still gonna keep it. It does require a 32bit parallel port. I'm betting both radios will outlast me. So me and my 1000 might both be legacy, but we prefer the term Functional.

Still Fully Functional

Tom,

They are not legacy radios. Yes, the 6000-series uses newer technology,
but the FLEX-1500, FLEX-3000, & FLEX-5000 are still current production and
are likely to remain so for the foreseeable future. As Flex has stated
before, each model fills a different niche in the marketplace. GM does not
stop buiolding Chevys just because they come out with a new model of
Cadillac.
