Last week I posted a note saying that my VAC was not working.

Last evening I tried some different settings in the Power SDR Setup panel and
in the VAC Control Panel.

With these changes, I was able to get JT-64 to transmit but no noise was noted
on the waterfall. As a test of VAC, I also tried listening to PSK-31 signals
but could not decode any.

At least I was making progress or so I thought.

Today, I tried again to see if JT-64 would transmit.

When I brought it up, the black, screen has a message saying:

Error opening input audio stream
     Errortext device unavailable
     Number: 9985
Exception: Access Violation
Traceback not available Compile with ftrace = frane = ftrace = full
Fatal Python error PYEval_Restore Thread NULL testate

In addition a box appears in the center of the screen as follows:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime library (That's in the blue bar at the top)

X Runtime error!
Program C:\program Files (x86)\WSJT9\WSJT9.exe

This application has requested to be Runtime to terminate it in an
unusual way.
Please contact the the application's support team for more
information..

       OK

When I hit OK, another box appears saying:

WSJT9.EXE (In the blue at the top)

WSJT9.EXE has stopped working

A problem caused the program to stop working. Windows
will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

       CLOSE PROGRAM

Note I have changed nothing since last evening when I was able to get WSJT to
at least transmit.
Some have said that Windows changes settings of programs. If this is the case,
how can anyone use this stuff?

Disgusted!

Any suggestions?

73,

Bill Tynan, W3XO
