This is IMHO of course. Tubes are actually on their way back "in" with not only hams who want to go QRO but with audiophiles in their audio amplifiers and stereo gear. Tubes induce just enough distortion to produce a "mellow affect." I would advise staying away from the 4CX "tetrodes" since they must be shipped from Russia.
