When some of the cognoscenti began to discuss the probable features of the upcoming Flex design, which turned out to be the 6000 series, one of the non-technical posters on this reflector offered the following commentary: "you couldn't be more wrong. What... can be done using an existing Flex 5000....cannot be done by even 10 top-of-the-line quad-core PCs working in parallel, let alone a single, anemic, low-powered, embedded microcontroller." This sort of nonsense is the kind of thinking Flex will have to gradually overcome to make the new series of radios gain wide acceptance. This may take time, but if they live up to their potential, word-of-mouth will build their reputation and their market position.
