Correct. However, not everybody saw it that way. When some of the
cognoscenti began to discuss the probable features of the upcoming Flex
design, which turned out to be the 6000 series, one of the non-technical
posters on this reflector offered the following commentary:

"you couldn't be more wrong. What... can be done using an existing Flex
5000....cannot be done by even 10 top-of-the-line quad-core PCs
working in parallel,
let alone a single, anemic, low-powered, embedded
microcontroller."

This sort of nonsense is the kind of thinking Flex will have to gradually
overcome to make the new series of radios gain wide acceptance. This may
take time, but if they live up to their potential, word-of-mouth will build
their reputation and their market position.
