I was just wondering if anybody had any ideas on the cw latency situation
with the Flex/PowerSDR using USB 2.0 vs USB 3.0 with all other things being
more or less equal how much affect it mite have on it. In particular on
the 1500.
I found cw using a paddle more or less unusable on earlier versions of
Power SDR at all but the very slowest cw speeds. The newest flavor of Power
SDR shows quite an improvement (although not where I would like it) on my
setup but still seems to hit a ceiling at about 15 wpm. Anything faster and
I have timing issues with the paddle operation.
My computer has USB 2.0 and since I read a couple of caveats about making
sure that the Flex was on its own USB port to keep interactions with other
USB devices at a minimum.........it got me to wondering if the speed of the
USB is an issue and an upgrade to 3.0 from 2.0 mite therefore automatically
lead to less latency?
I am aware that generally faster is better in everything computing
hardware. Just wondering if anybody has any ideas on this.

Thanks Mark/W8VNZ
