Tim, the Flex radios have their own sound card. They do not output I-Q
signals to your computer that can be decoded by typical SDR software, and
their USB connection works differently from, say, a Softrock. In the case
of a Softrock there's a USB connection for tuning and to work the controls,
and a stereo audio link for the I-Q. As a result, a Softrock can work with
a dozen different SDR programs. Other SDR boxes, or dongles, have other
protocols, which the software has to understand in order to make the system
work. The Flex system works fine, but its scheme is (AFAIK) understood only
by PSDR.
