My Flex 5000 has just developed a fault where it thinks it has a high VSWR and it suddenly reduces the power to less than 10 watts. This occurs on all modes, tune and ether using the antenna or a dummy load.
The external power meter starts at 100 watts and suddenly reduces to 10 watts as the High SWR is displayed. The PowerSDR display shows 150 watts for drive level >3, 142 watts for drive level 2, 85 watts for drive level 1 and 0 watts for drive level 0. The PowerSDR display shows VSW 28.0:1 and Rev power 130 watts. The ATU is bypassed If I try using the internal tuner is says: "ATU Tune Failed: No RF Detected" HF=RX1=ANT.1, TX=ANT.1, RX.2=RX.2 in Also, the power button works to turn the radio on, but will not work to turn the radio off ? Can anyone suggest what has happened here or any suggestions how to get it operating back to normal ?
