Thanks for all the several great replies! I had never looked at all of the junk that NVDIA had loaded onto the machine in addition to the display driver. There were a couple of 3D utilities and even something call "HD Audio". Blew all that junk away, and the DPCs dropped dramatically. Will keep a suspicious eye on future NVDIA releases.
