Greg,

I have a small problem with your system. My password is mine and I specify it. For this reason I do not "face" or "twit" or "yahoo" nor do I have any intention of joining the "community" or any other thing you might want to define. If you insist on having some "rule" for MY password you can keep your system. I do not worry about "security" of my cell phone. I don't have one. I used to have several in the early '90's but then I grew up.

To change the topic slightly, this afternoon I "unearthed" a collection of info from John Basilotto that I filed away. Flex Radio was a far different company then. And, I will say, one that I had no problem sending real cash money for a Flex5000A when it was still only an "idea" I never regretted having to wait for almost a half year before that thing I had paid for finally appeared by my back door. I don't think I'd do the same thing for a 6700 today.....

Al
There are those still lurking on this reflector so fire away.... I will say most of the action is on the Online Community. http://community.flexradio.com

The 1000 was running fine on 2.5.3. went to use the radio today and once it goes thur its boot and you click the on button on powersdr the radio goes into transmit and have to shut it down. also reads hi swr even though a
dummy load is connected.
what I did, checked all connections on the radio,FA-66 and the computer, all
are correct.
thought maybe the software was corrupted ,so cleaned house and removed all the flex and all the power sdr files and did a clean reinstall of 2.5.3. install went as it should. re booted the system and the same result ,instant transmit &
hi swr.
When power sdr is booting, there is NO relay noise from the 1000 at all ,listened twice to be sure, nothing. used to hear relays clicking in or out.
Tried every thing with a older powersdr, same thing.
Any one have any ideas as to what is going on or how to correct it.Iam
stumped.I read the trouble shooting giude, they mentioned a RESET I clicked on the only reset button I found at the bottom right edge of power sir, is there
some other button?

Dale --

Are you sure that an external PTT switch isn't accidentally engaged?
That happened to me once.

All the best,

Kevin, WB4AIO.

Hello Dale,

It happened to me twice, one was due to the parallel port connector
partially disengaged. The other was due a bad soldered wire in the same
cable. If the connector is not fully engaged, the radio goes into transmit.
If the parallel port connection is ok, try reseating the boards stack,
these connector sometimes fail.
