I got the same alert about needing a firmware update. Since my original post I did a complete uninstall and manual clean up of all PowerSDR files. After reinstalling everything the radio works fine. The issue, I think, is that 19.2k buffer is not supported on the 3000 but the KE5NS version allowed me to select it. Anyway back in business with both versions.
