On 2.0, that would only work if the two applications are in the same app
domain. I'm not sure if ASP.NET does anything to scope the Cache object to
an application. Probably it does, so I'm guessing it doesn't work.

Really, the caching mechanism is only intended to support a single
application. Your scenario is a bit unusual (why are you trying to do what
you're doing, BTW). The common scenario where this really hurts is for
load-balanced wikis. There it just breaks everything (unless the site is
read-only).

Subject: [Flexwiki-users] Virtual Directory and Caching (more info)

I've been reading more about what might be happening. I read
http://www.flexwiki.com/default.aspx/FlexWiki/CachingUpdate.html and also
took a look at admin/showupdates.aspx and showcache.aspx and I can see that
Site A and Site B both have different values. So, it seems that when a new
virtual directory is created that points to the flexwiki application, it
creates its own independent cache. I'm not sure it should work like that.
For my situation it's creating complications, but I can see that if I was
wanting to run another instance of the wiki with independent content then it
would be easy.

Is there a method so that Site A and Site B share the same cache? Remember
that Site A contains the physical directory of FlexWiki and Site B on the
same server has a virtual directory pointing to Site A's physical directory
of FlexWiki.
