I have completed a new run (it takes about 7 hours - remember 1000 namespaces).

I am working on the spreadsheets to really interpret the numbers (as Craig said
"get the test harness working"). Because there's so much data it's turning out
to require the data to get jammed into a database to get any reason performance
(>150000 rows of data in Excel).

Give me another day or two to post new results.

Well, we've heard a bit from him, but the numbers are all preliminary. I can
tell you from experience it takes quite a while to run a full test, and I only
checked in the latest optimizations a couple days ago. Quite honestly, because
of the optimizations the previous tests aren't very interesting except as an
indication of how easy it is to get the test harness working. :)

Anyway, I've still got another optimization in the hopper, too, so whatever
David comes back with will likely be invalid as soon as he posts it. This is to
be expected.

I'll get my newest optimizations finished and checked in at some point in the
near future. But answering Helen's question has higher priority, and I haven't
had time for anything in the last few days.

Everyone seems to be waiting breathlessly for the results of David's
performance tests. The lists have gone extremely quiet, I was beginning to
wonder if they were broken? If this goes through I guess not.
