No, I remember that bug; it resulted in very high sensitivity of the
ball, and random bouncing.  This one is stranger.  The ball hangs off
consistently to one side, as if the aircraft was tilted.

My current theory is that I've somehow mixed up two axes, and that
what you're seeing in the ball is the nose elevation rotated by 90
degress.  Or something....  If the acceleration was really off to the
side, then the plane should be, well, accelerating. :)
