I'd be happy if we would have some more time between pre-releases and final. During development cycles I'm usually not able to follow the changes as fast as they happen to occur. This means that updating the manual is pretty useless, because a feature often already has changed before anyone had the chance to write a single line for the manual. So in purpose to get the manual up to date with the software I need way more that a whole weekend's time to do testing of different features on at least two different platforms and for 'tuning' the manual (I think Michael needs about the same amount of time). Sometimes there are questions left that would be nice if they were answered before the release .... This way I have to find a whole weekend that I am able to keep clear from any other stuff - this is not always the nearest weekend .... If there was a longer period _without_ any feature changes but only bugfixes before a release (maybe three or four pre releases) this _might_ prove to be useful not only for the maintainers of the manual but maybe also for the 'staff' doing the real work on the software, Martin. -- Unix _IS_ user friendly - it's just selective about who its friends are ! -------------------------------------------------------------------------- _______________________________________________ Flightgear-devel mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.flightgear.org/mailman/listinfo/flightgear-devel
