I've recently watched one of my favourite films called "The Big Blue". I was amazed to find that even in a great film like this they added that fake tyre squeak sound on landing -- of a helicopter!!!!!
I was at the local airport the other day and noticed *no* tire squeel for F-16's and a 737 and just twice (main gear) for a C-172.
