All joystick config files in CVS do currently only drive
throttle 0 and 1. The b52, for example, needs throttle
input to 8 engines. I'd like to submit a patch that adds
throttle 2 to 7 for all files. Is this the correct way,
or is there an easier way to set all engines together?

And then, I do still want to have joystick buttons
triggered with constant frequency, regardless of the
cpu clock. I modified Erik's patch so that it only
throttles =repeatable= buttons, while it executes all
others immediately, like it does now. Are there objections
against this change? It would allow to define the step
sizes in the joystick config files such that these
behave exactly the same on any computer, no matter how
fast the cpu is. (The patch does =not= change the
update rate, which may still be increased on faster
computers. But this is beyond the scope of input.cxx.)
