Hi Folks,

I just noticed that there seems to be a discrepancy between the way the flap
settings are handled by the keyboard vs. the joystick. In keyboard.xml there
is a little nasal script that adjusts the flaps settings based on a number of
predefined positions, whereas in most (probably, I only checked a few)
joystick configuration files, the position of the flaps is changed directly
by a preset value. I copied the code from the keyboard.xml file to my local
copy of my joystick config file (the CH USB Yoke). On my system this works
perfectly. Any objections to this approach? If not, I'd like to submit this
change for CVS inclusion.

Note 1: In the current CH products USB Yoke config file there are some more
flap related oddities: Pushing the "flaps up" button will always raise the
flaps fully, no matter what position they're in. This is probably not what
was intended, so I'd like to fix that anyhow.

Note 2: In the 737-set.xml file I saw that the "[" and "]" key behaviour is
overridden to changer the default flap movement. Wouldn't it be better to
just leave the original (nasal controlled) behavior intact and just add a few
predetermined flap settings here (cf. 747-set.xml or a320-set.xml). This way
we'd get more consistent behavior between joystick and keyboard. Just a
thought.

Cheers,
Durk
