I ended up using an xml dialog instead of nasal for the "Scenery Loading" message so it could also pop-up when teleporting to different airports. Probably I could have used nasal, but I'm just not up to speed on it yet, and I wanted to get a fix in for this issue before release.
I got it applied locally, but got distracted before committing it. It's now in CVS.
