? plib 1.8.4 is not released yet, it is only CVS.
I've had problems with display lists in the past. I am really not sure whether display lists work well with plib 18.3. right now. The problem was that all colors got messed up and I think this is solved by Wolfram's patch to the AC loader which isn't in 1.8.3 either.
