Indeed, there is no formatted text mechanism in Nasal right now.
Everything is printed to the precision of a full double.

Doing this the "right way" (say, a printf-like format string) is
really hard, short term hacks (like format(fldwid, precision, num))
are really ugly, and the price of doing it wrong (inserting formatting
operators into the output stream!?!?) is pretty high.

I'm willing to listen to suggestions, though.
