IIRC, the particles did not move with the parent aircraft, and the
screenshots would appear to confirm this. The development was abandoned by
the original author on the grounds that the framerate hit was too high.
Hardware has moved on since then, and we may now be able to do it.

Unfortunately, I never got my hands on the code.
