I find it very annoying that subsystems are starting to brew
their own XML flavors. I wanted to import one of the taxiway
definitions[1] into FlightGear via regular means[2], but this
doesn't work because of the extra XML tags. Are we starting
to artificially split the code base?

The goal was to allow visualization of the taxiway waypoints with
3D models, to allow editing them in FlightGear (all via UFO model
editor), and to export them again. Dream over. I can't even
make a useful export, without having to run it through an extra
script ...
