Syd: Here's some feedback, just FYI:
Basically, the aircraft handles nicely, the ALT-A autopilot toggle
being a nice feature. Some things I've observed:
Display/Features:
1) The panel really needs a heading bug control knob; using the
menu
is too unwieldy.
2) NAV 2 CDI with a course knob would also be useful. The only
NAV 2
info presently available is via the RMI-type (needle) display on the
primary instrument.
3) The "blank" instrument to the right of the primary display
shows
what appears to be random, "strange" stuff during the course of the
flight.
4) Changing the COM/NAV freqs via the panel affects the "in use"
frequency, rather than the "standby" frequency.
Nav Tracking/Autopilot:
1) Flight Director steering bar only works in "Heading" mode.
2) Autopilot only tracks in NAV mode, not in Approach mode.
3) Autopilot won't capture/track the GS, even with VNAV mode
selected.
Note: VNAV historically assigned to GPS functions only. Approach mode
should activate it automatically whenever a Localizer frequency is
dialed in.

Hi ,Steve ... Thanks for the input / testing . Im trying to keep this
aircraft as realistic as I can , so any tips are helpful; Ive barely
begun to read through the 298 page Primus 1000 manual , so progress
could be slow :)
The course and heading knobs are on the pedestal above the autopilot
controller. Awkward, but it can be done. The RH MFD knob is your
altitude setting.
Ok I'll add a NAV 2 option;
the blank instrument is the standby gyro , its animated but Im redoing
textures so it looks strange right now .Yours is a testing version , it
hasnt been submitted yet.
I was never sure if standby or selected frequencies were changed ,
thanks for clearing that one up.
FlightDirector and autopilot is a learn as I go process and barely
operational right now , but Ive got it pretty much functional on the
B1900D now , so it'll be an easy transfer to the Bravo... need to read
more on arm /capture modes :)
Cheers,
Syd
