I do think a very nice advancement would be the ability to unload and load flight models from FlightGear. Is that what you are talking about? In the meanwhile though, it might not be a bad idea to build the existing loader. I'm willing to do it, but it would happen quicker if there was a known way to distribute it, since for my own use linux is prefered, this would be more of a selfless/curiosity motivated contribution to the project.
