Fixed. They can now be very bright, and very beautiful. :-)
Update src/Cockpit/hud.[ch]xx and the base package, compile
and try the f16-3d. Now I need people who have seen a real
HUD and can comment on it. It's probably too bright now.

PS: if you set --prop:/sim/devel=1, then you get some extra
sliders in the "View"/"Adjust HUD Properties" dialog to
play with. :-)
