You might try looking in a textbook or in an aircraft technical report (see
the reports listed in the "Aircraft Modeling Data" section of the "Links"
page at the JSBSim web site). You ought to be able to see the mach/altitude
points that they use.

I would use sea level and the ceiling (40k') for the aircraft for altitude,
at 10k' intervals: 0, 10k', 20k', 30k', 40k'. For Mach: 0.1, 0.5.,0.8, 0.9,
(it was a subsonic bomber).
