There have already been some threads about that topic on this mailing list. In short: adding support isn't really possible due to licensing incompatibilities. VATSim won't allow free and open source code to access their network and FG's GPL license would prohibit including a proprietary VATSim library. But there has been some talk about stand-alone bridging software AFAIK.
