That is of course a possibility, however, I was just taking this as an example 
that there are currently differences between HEAD and PLIB. Although this is 
currently the only real difference, there might be more, the longer we have 
two branches of the code.

That is true actually. I was overstressing my point a bit here, but the 
backport process would certainly depend on a) progress on the OSG version, b) 
chances of having a release soon, and c) each individual developer's 
opportunity to do so. 

I will certainly try to get the remaining bug fixes into cvs PLIB, but 
everthing related to the data reorganization of the AI stuff is something 
that will be something that will have a relatively long term impact (when 
more data / traffic stuff becomes available, so there's no real reason to 
have that in CVS PLIB, as that version will hopefully be obsolete by the time 
the new AI directory structure is utilized to it's max.
