There seems to be a bug in the flightgear multiplayer code.  If you
supply a non-existant server to flightgear you get this doubling.

Note that mpserver03 is currently down and won't even resolve to an IP
address (see http://mpserver05.flightgear.org/fgmp/status/ )

The quick answer is turn off multiplayer or pick a server that is up.
