The Prop/Engine configuration of the bf109 is not (yet) authentic.

German Fighter Aircraft of that time didn't use constant speed props as
the Allies had. Instead they used a mechanism based on the current
Airspeed to adjust Propeller pitch. 
At low speeds this didn't work well, so for engine start and taxiing the
Prop Automatic was turned off and the prop hand controlled by a rocker
switch on the throttle.

I'm about to write a nasal based controller for the Prop Pitch. That
should make ground handling easier.

Nonetheless it is a nearly 2000 hp Aircraft with a wing of similar size
to a Cessna 172. The engine of the 109 was started with the prop at *no*
pitch owing to the violent prop torque.
