It's a shame about Tempelhof but it has to be sacrificed to justify the money spent at Schöenefeld and to allow the valuable Tempelhof real-estate to be sold off for a tidy profit. There are some safety issues regarding approach paths, but this also applies to Heathrow when the wind is from the west. That's not to forget, of course, that some people will profit enormously from this.
