Jeez, what's the problem? If you really want to share models what's stopping
you? Not some half-hard ill-informed comments on this list I hope. If your
models aren't GPL that just means _we_ can't bundle them with FG. That's not
a problem - there are several places around that offer nice models for FG in
parallel to ours. Doesn't seem to worry them. Or us. Look here for an
example of FG compatible models that are not GPL

Hijacking this thread - well that's pretty much par for the course isn't it?
Lots of heat and not a lot of light (polite version).

Not that this has much to do with this thread, or Ian's
FlightGear problems.

Oh I would not worry about it, this thread has been hijacked, dragged off
topic and otherwise generally killed already.

Obviously starting another thread won't be likely to fair any better, having
seen what's happened here.

I can't see any way for us to make any useful contribution under these kinds
of circumstance. We're simply interested in making models and sharing them,
but it seems as though that is rather lower on some folks agendas than it is
on ours.

All rather unfortunate that. I can't recommend this as a solution to the
group, that would be reckless on my part, in view of what I have learned
here today. I have energy to happily spend, and freely so, but not a jot of
it to waste or fritter away.

Interesting that politics now seems to replace the old config file these
days as a means to prevent the growth of a simulator's content.
