I like this plane btw :D ..aye, to grease it onto the runway, it needs about 50mx50mx50m of air from the downwind leg. ..I found that out after I, the cocky big mouth modeller and target drone pilot in seat 1B, had my ears confined to a coupla headset bells, and shot back with "flabby ass full-scaler waste of airspace" and "real flying", on why I wasn't learning to fly full-scalers. ;o) ..and while I was wondering on whether I just maybe had gone a wee bit to far, I saw these 2 guys just nod their agreement "Uhuh, That Brat Needs A Lesson.", while we were climbing out past Saura from ENAN for ENSK. ..all the way, we were trading stories on military life and family and aviation and everything, all this to keep me on the hook and from apologising or from wondering on whether I had gone that wee bit to far. ;o) ..arriving at Skagen with a wee tailwind, we flew in between the road and the runway, then past the 09 #'s, I watched them in a slicky smooth manner, haul back the prop levers into full reverse, drop the nose and then the left wing to turn around, all this while full flaps was being augered out. ..as the view got chock full of rotating potato field, they hauled back their yokes and shoved the prop levers full forward to "roll down" the runway edge past both the top and bottom edge of the view hole forward, then eased back power and stick for the slicky, smooth moist ice kinda greaser, I could feel each mains tire grab the dry asphalt to start rolling, but not their touchdowns, nor the nose wheel at all, then while we were rolling off the runway towards the terminal, the left engine was shut down and feathered, all this in one single silky smooth flowing movement. ..then, as we turn back to pop open the door to let people board, we "Oops!!!" discovered to our horror, we _had_ 2 people onboard, way back in the tail, and judging by their Scary Icy Glares, they were _Not_ amused, as they disembarked. ..I never heard anything about fines or chew-outs, so I _guess_ these 2 realised the aircrew was trying to teach me, and not them, that pranky "Brat Lesson." ;o) -- ..med vennlig hilsen = with Kind Regards from Arnt... ;o) ...with a number of polar bear hunters in his ancestry... Scenarios always come in sets of three: best case, worst case, and just in case. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Register Now & Save for Velocity, the Web Performance & Operations Conference from O'Reilly Media.
