Here's an idea I am just lobbing out into the middle of the room. If anyone
is interested, great, otherwise that's ok too.
Recently we had a request for an Aerosonde aircraft model within
FlightGear. Aerosonde is an Australian company (which may have been bought
out now) and is one of the leaders in small UAV's and have achieved
remarkable endurance numbers (like 38 hours) with their airframe. The
aerosonde uav is a very elegant design that falls within the generic
category of "twin-boom pusher". There is a picture of it at the bottom of
this nasa.gov hurricane hunter page:
http://www.nasa.gov/vision/earth/lookingatearth/hurricane_aircraft.html
I believe there is a simulink model of the aerosonde floating around, and
there is a flightgear <=> simulink interface, and I see these being used
quite often in student academic and research projects.
Another example of a twin-boom pusher airframe is the "shadow". The Shadow
is a bit larger with a 14' wing span.

It is sometimes hard to get very detailed specs on these types of aircraft,
but I think a small or medium size twin boom pusher airframe (even if it is
just generic and representative of this class of aircraft) would be a nice
addition.
Regards,
Curt.
