Hi All,

In Ubuntu...

1. Sound: NONE, with error shown
~/fg/fg7$ ./run_fgfs.sh --timeofday=noon
run_fgfs.sh: Running: ./fgfs --fg-root=/home/geoff/fg/fg7/fgfs/data

Get a similar message from al-info
~/fg/fg7$ ./run_alinfo.sh
run_alinfo.sh: Running: ./al-info
ALSA lib pcm_dmix.c:874:(snd_pcm_dmix_open) unable to open slave
open /dev/[sound/]dsp: Device or resource busy
No default audio device available.

Yesterday, I had 'sound', but it had gone back to the
continuous roar, with no change with rpm ;=(( except when
outside the a/c... but now NONE, zilch...

2. Scenery:

(a) Still getting 'dark' band in some places, and
a sort of red overlay on certain headings, where it
alternates normal, dark, red, dark, normal as the heading
changes. As per images posted 24th -
 http://geoffair.net/tmp/fg/

./TestRenderTexture shows a spinning torus, on a turning gray
square for at least 5 out of the 10 scenarios...

(b) With option --fgviewer <path>KSFO.btg.gz just shows a 'black'
rectangular shape, but it seemed visible for a fraction of a second
before becoming completely dark, and similarly <path>942050.btg.gz is
so dark no, or little detail can be seen ;=((

Not a good day ;=() Advise any other information I can
give... About to try a MSVC9/WIN32 update and build...

Regards,

Geoff.
