There have been big issues with PulseAudio and OpenAL-Soft. As I understand it because of lack of proper documentation of PulseAudio. The latest version OpenAL-Soft should provide a work around (as I understand it). In other words; PulseAudio is unreliable at this point due to problems between OpenAL-Soft and PulseAudio. That's why I added the option to select a different output device.
