In general, this looks good. Thanks very much for taking some time to
improve the menu structure. It's very easy for those of us who have
used FG for years to take for granted the GUI structure and not to
think about it from a new users perspective.

One immediate comment - I'd suggest renaming the "General" menu back to "File".

While I can see why "File" isn't a logical menu name if you are
starting from a completely clear slate and none of the users have used
a GUI before, most users are now very used to the File menu being in
the top left from experience with other applications, and for it to
contain some slightly odd non-file related menu items, e.g. Quit. It's
been a while since I did some Human Factors work, but I do recall that
one important principle is to provide users with what they expect
based on their previous experience.

Furthermore, I don't think "General" provides a good description of
the menu item itself. For exampleif I was looking for the Print Screen
command, I'm not sure I'd look in "General". I'd probably look under a
File menu first, and then possibly View.

One small thought - it might be worth indicating those menu items that
launch a dialog with a "..." suffix. I've no idea if that would look
any good or not - the vast majority of our menu items launch dialogs.
