Thanks all for answers.
I have a older (chipper) version of RivaTNT2 with 64bit address bus
(TNT2M64), over clocked to 155/155MHz. I got framerates about 8..15fps.
Yesterday I found that the streaming mechanism for debugging messages is
enabled in sources and the widows binaries ( I'm using windows / MSVC
6.0). When I disabled it ( I defined #define FG_NDEBUG in acconfig.h
file) and build executable again, my framerate grows to 20..30fps. I
think, that this should be done in precompiled binaries on the net
servers, because of better performance demonstration for people which
downloads ant starts them.

Well, this is just a guess, but there are presumably the same
number of polygons in the scene under all resolutions. Hence I
would assume that the bottleneck in your system is probably the
speed at which the cpu processes the polygons before handing
them over to the card for rendering.
