I've had problems with my email lately so please excuse the late reply.
I had the problem on 0.9.2 in windows originally but am now using 0.9.3-pre1.
Still have the problem though. To get the info for you, I have just run using the following:
Starting airport : Blackpool EGNH. When looking at radios they show: Comm1 120.5 118.81 Comm2 118.3 133.77
I changed comm1 selected to 121.75 (Blackpool) and got the message with Blackpool identification.
I then swopped to standby frequency but message stayed. I changed the selected frequency to 124.325 (Liverpool EGGP) but it made no difference.
Comm1 was then: 124.325 with standby as 121.75
I then changed standby frequency to 128.175 (Manchester EGCC) but no joy.
Is this enough info?

There was sometimes a bug in switching it off but I thought I had it fixed prior to 0.9.3. What version are you using, where are you starting up, what frequencies do you have for selected and standby on comm1 and comm2?
If I can replicate it then I'll get it fixed.
