Tell the folks over there that 0.9.6 runs as designed on reasonably capable and up-to-date systems. If it isn't, then their system is at fault in some way. That is not to say that there aren't any software bugs, but any that there are don't stop the program starting: it might crash when running. They need to check that they have the latest driver releases for their graphic and sound cards. If there are still faults, then they may need to upgrade their hardware. OpenAl and OpenGl are unsurmountable problems for older cards. You could also say that they should do a Google search on our home site: their problem is unlikely to be unique, there's probably the answer there somewhere.
