Probably wrong device node permissions or links. You are successfully using
jstest with /dev/js0, while the others possibly fail on /dev/input/js0.
I have the following listing :
[plum plum]$ ls -l /dev/
----
lr-xr-xr-x 1 root root 9 jan 13 19:42 js0 -> input/js0
----
[plum plum]$ ls -l /dev/input/
crw-r--r-- 1 root root 13, 0 jan 1 1970 js0
and :
jstest /dev/js0
jstest /dev/input/js0
works in the same way : good...
What should I modify ?
