Installed 2.2.0 from the 9.3 distro and that worked. The previous try
with 2.4.0 was from the nightly CVS snapshot and that gave the build
errors, using the latest CVS checkout, 2.4.0 builds, installs and works.

Attempting to build freeglut CVS gives many errors of the same kind......
